a little competition for sprouts? pipes badges

http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/badgedocs

As soon as I saw this I thought "hmm. some competition for sproutbuilder".
However I know they have further along to go, but having the ability to wire mashup apis together is powerful. Now if you could take the ease of development with sproutbuilder and consume pipes data somehow - that would be very cool!

Hello Andrew,

Interesting. Yes they have a way to go, but they are Yahoo, I'm sure that they'll improve on this quickly.

Also, you can mashup some parts of yahoo pipes with sprout. anything in yahoo pipes that can be output in an RSS feed can be mashed into sprout's RSS component. for example search for the "ebay pipe", do a search with it, get the rss feed for the results and put that in a sprout ;)

Hello,

I'm sure new features with Sprout will be introduced as time goes by. As it stands this product is very robust and allows you to integrate things such as RSS, slideshow, videos and more.

The best part of the sprout is when you update your original document it gets an update across the internet regardless of it's location on the web. :)

Best,

Jay
