My First Sprout - A quiz for kids!
Here's a quick quiz I made on my first go with sprout - testament to ease of use if a primary teacher like me can have a play and get nice results like this! I'm well impressed with such functionality for a beta - almost seems too good to be true!

nicely done!
Rik,
What a great application of Sprout! How many kids do you think will be taking this quiz? Please keep us posted. Remember to check your reports in your account to see how many people are viewing your sprout.
This is such a great idea! Keep up the good work!
Rik, what a cool sprout! I love how you've made taking a quiz so much fun with the cool pictures and by making it a "mission", a space mission, to get the right answers!
Cheers - just a first go and limited by time - already got lots of other ideas for cooler stuff to make.
There's 60 or so 10 year old kids and their families who use the blog at http://yearfivesite.blogspot.com - science homework this week is taking the quiz then making some more questions for it.
Not sure you've thought about the education side of sprout, but just to say I can see it being huge - both for teachers and students. Having such an easy to use an flexible system online is really exciting! Keep up the great work :-]
It has so many applications, such as science or math quizzes or lessons, book reviews or reports, vocabulary, poetry or haiku presentations, portfolios for art or graphic classes, how-to lessons (such as metal or woodshop, autobody, culinary art) and I could go on and on. . .
This is great! But no sounds or music?
Greetings Rik,
Your quiz is fabulous, and was referred to me as an example. I want to do something similar, but I'm not sure exactly how to start. Is there any way you can list the steps or other programs you used to build your sprout?
Thanks,
Amy
This is great. :)
My sister in law who is a teacher will get a kick out of this!
Hey Adam,
Trudy, one of our other sprout employees is a teacher in her real life and has been using Sprout in her classroom. I'll have her contact you, perhaps she'll have some tips for your sister in law.
Very cute but would be much more useful if say the flash SCORM API was tagged into it or a full SCORM 2004 API was available.
wow...3 trys and I only made it 3 questions in. the timer got me flustered! very creative! Nice work!
I agree. The timer makes you stress a little bit, but some of these questions really do make you think. Great job coming up with a sprout for educational uses!
