Drawing and Text Tools

Shapes are handy. A rectangle or ellipse can become a square or circle (just hold down the shift key) or be used as a background for the page, or be employed as a frame behind an image, or be utilized as an opacity screen or be created as a text box. Polygons can become crazy stars and lines can take shape as solid, dashed or dotted page borders. Shapes can be filled with color or gradients, be animated (to slide or to fade) or they can have special effects applied to them (such as glows, bevels or shadows).

Text is dandy. Although text tools are much more straight-forward, we have some handy tools (like style, font face, size, color, and alignment), some fancy tools (like letter spacing, line spacing and left and right align) and one enlightened tool (the ability to make a text link, without leaving home). Solid or gradient colors can create backgrounds behind the text, if you want the look of a text frame box.
